Covid Resilience and Recovery – A Community Conversation

COVID impacted our community in many ways and recovery is different for everyone. Join our discussion to understand the challenges brought by COVID in recovering financially, returning to healthy nutrition and shelter; and dealing with impacts to our physical and mental health. Guest speakers will share their expertise and actions organizations are taking to help in COVID recovery.

  • COVID recovery overview: Kathy Young co-founded Tri-Valley Nonprofit Alliance in 2014 and currently serves as the President/CEO. Kathy developed a passion for the nonprofit community as TVNPA grew and she learned about the hundreds of nonprofits working in our communities every day to improve our quality of life.

  • Financial Welfare: Bret Alexander Sweet, East Bay Program Director, joined the Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center team in February of 2015. He brings two decades of experience designing companies to change human behavior for the better.

  • Food and Shelter (security and safety): Caitlin Sly is the Executive Director of Meals on Wheels Diablo Region. She joined the organization in January 2020 and brings over 10 years of extensive experience of anti-hunger work with an understanding of the food insecurity many seniors face.

  • Health and Wellness (physical and mental): Adimika Arthur, CEO/Executive Director at HealthTech 4 Medicaid (HT4M). Adimika Arthur is the executive director at HealthTech 4 Medicaid (HT4M), a national nonprofit dedicated to supporting innovation in Medicaid and further improving the quality, equity and access to care for Medicaid recipients, their families and communities.
